How payroll data gets into Layer

Layer ingests payroll through an integration with a payroll provider rather than a manual import. Once connected, payroll runs flow into Layer automatically and post to the appropriate payroll expense and liability accounts. Layer integrates with the following payroll providers:

Check

Sync payroll from Check embedded payroll.

Salsa

Sync payroll from Salsa embedded payroll.

Gusto Embedded

Sync payroll from Gusto Embedded.
Establishing a connection links a Layer business to its company in the payroll provider and authorizes the integration. Visit the integration page of your chosen provider above for guidance on the setup process. If you use a payroll provider that isn’t listed here, reach out to your Layer contact to discuss options.
